How it works

How does Calling the Doctor work?

Reach a healthcare professional quickly and easily.

  1. Choose a specialty

Choose the specialty you need and tell us the reason for your consultation and your medical history, if any.

  2. Have your consultation

After you enter your information, a doctor answers your call right away. When it ends, they record the consultation in your electronic health record (EHR).

  3. Get your prescription by email

If needed, you’ll receive the prescription or medical instructions the doctor considers appropriate.

FAQ

Our patients’ most common questions.

Do I have to pay to access the service?
If your health plan, social security, employer or insurer tells you that you have access to the service and gives you a reference number, you can sign in and call doctors at no cost.
Do I need WiFi to use the service?
The minimum required connection is 4G/LTE or a high-speed WiFi connection.
Can I call a pediatrician for my child?
If you access the service through a health plan or social security, you must always call using the pediatric patient’s user account. If you access it through an insurer, the account holder can call and consult about their child.
What kind of consultations can I have?
Only low-complexity and primary-care consultations.
I have a problem with the medication I was prescribed, or it isn’t what I expected.
Contact a professional of the same specialty again and explain what happened so they can issue a new, appropriate prescription.
I can’t reach a professional.
Our doctors usually answer in under two minutes. At times of high demand the wait may be longer: please call without hanging up and be patient (in those cases, wait up to 15 minutes). There are doctors available 24 hours a day waiting for your consultation.
